Ards and North Down Borough Council is currently supporting local businesses through the CyberWise Cyber Essentials Business Support Programme.
The programme is designed to help businesses improve their cyber security, work towards certification and get practical expert support through the process.
Cyber Essentials
Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification scheme that helps businesses put basic cyber security controls in place and protect against common online threats.
Businesses taking part can receive:
- 15 hours of free one-to-one mentoring
- Practical workshops and support
- A tailored Cybersecurity Action Plan
- 50% support towards eligible Cyber Essentials certification costs
Cyber Essentials Plus
For businesses looking to take the next step, CE+ provides a higher level of assurance through an independent technical assessment.
Businesses can receive:
- 20 hours of free one-to-one mentoring
- Practical support to prepare for the CE+ assessment
- Up to £1,000 + VAT towards certification costs
The mentoring is practical and tailored to the individual business. You don’t need to be a cyber security expert to take part.
