Free online mental health training

As a continuation of Mental Health Awareness Week, the Mind Body Business team are offering free mental health training courses for employees in businesses across the Borough. The awareness courses will be run by Action Mental Health as follows:

Tuesday 10th June 2025 – Stress Awareness

Online via Zoom (Zoom Link will be emailed approximately one week before the course)

Tuesday 24th June 2025 – Personal Resilience

Online via Zoom (Zoom Link will be emailed approximately one week before the course)

Information on the Courses:

Stress awareness and management
The stress awareness and management training provides an overview of
stress and what causes it, as well as providing employees and employers with strategies to help them identify and cope with the stresses of life. Participants will learn about stress and the difference between helpful pressure and unhelpful stress, as well as having the opportunity to identify coping strategies and practice brief mindfulness exercises.

 

 

Personal resilience
The main aims of the personal resilience workshop are to equip employees and
employers with the best methods to cope with the pressures and stresses of
life, whilst providing an overview of stress and thought management through
an evidence-based, informative and supportive structure. Participants will
learn how to look after their own mental and physical wellbeing with lifestyle
choices, as well as having the opportunity to engage in short moments of
relaxation mindfulness.

Any new businesses signing up to attend these courses will be added to the Mind Body Business mailing list to receive updates on future health and wellbeing initiatives, events and opportunities.

Places will be issued on a first come first served basis, each business will be permitted to book a maximum of 5 places, however a reserve list will also be held for any additional employees should any free spaces become available.
